Me: Good afternoon Ferdinand II King of Aragon, I would like to ask you some questions.
Ferdinand: Good afternoon, it will be a honour to answer them.
Me: Ok. First, at what age did you start governing?
Ferdinand: Well if I am right I think I start governing at the age of 16 as King of Sicily.
Me: And as king of Aragon?
Ferdinand: At the age of 27.
Me: It was difficult for you to became king, wasn't it?
Ferdinand: Yes, it was quite difficult because of my brothers and sisters and all of this hereditary things, but I prefer not to talk about this.
Me: Well, if you don't mine, I would like you to tell us what happened exactly.
Ferdinand: Ok, ok. What happened was that my half-brother Charlie, or better known as Charles of Viana was very ambitious and he started a war against me, he won but I didn't give up and wait for my brother to give the succesion to my sister Blanca because I knew that my father will put her in prison, and when this happened, finally I got the throne.
Me: Oh! What a great story! And when you married did you like the conditions that Isabel puted to the governing?
Ferdinand: Well at first I was surprised, but then I realised that it was the best way to govern.
Me: And can you tell us about your common aims?
Ferdinand: Of course, religious unity which consist of mantaining all our subjects united by religion for them to have something in common, territorial expansion which consist of conquering other territories and having arranged marriages of our children with other countries for having relations with them, and strengthening of the monarchs authority which more or less was about making the population respecting us by different ways.
Me: Ok. Thank you very much, I hope we meet soon.
Ferdinand: Thanks too, it has been all a honour

That's how our king was defined by Pope Leo X this morning in the Vatican City, grateful for the defense and support of the Aragonese monarch that is now governing us to the Church and the papacy during his reign.
This recognition, however, has gone further and Leo X has said to his best painter to do a portrait of Ferdinand in the Vatican city, as one of the pilars of Christianity.
